Sayulita has been an increasingly popular wedding destination location in recent years. Annika & Xavi fell in love with the area for the same reasons so many do – the jungle shrouded coastline is gorgeous, the town is festive and the amenities are plentiful for a small village turned surfer’s paradise. Annika wanted her wedding to be designing in a way that took into account the tropical beach location but had a polished look. Thus, our Bohemian Tropical Chic theme was born. We chose colors – deep green, red, fuchsia, cream, black and gold - that merged the jungle scenery with posh details. For pattern and texture – we choose macramé, Mexican style patterns and juxtaposed them with chic black and ivory striped runners.
Annika & Xavi wed in a heartfelt ceremony under a fabric canopy. After the ceremony, guests sipped signature tequila drinks while lounging in gold and black butterfly chairs with woven Mexican throw pillows. The bar was flanked with the couples initials illuminated in vintage style marquee lights. The enormous banquet style head dinner table was set with macramé runners and a floral garland augmented by pheasant feather sourced by Annika’s brother in law. The wedding ended with a steamy jungle dance party. It was a tropical affair not to be forgotten.
